Right now there is a mask mandate for Fauquier Public Schools. I think you can request to opt out for limited reasons, but being fully vaxxed is not a reason. The school year started with masks optional, but shortly thereafter a universal mask mandate for VA public schools was put in effect. I highly doubt kids will be require to mask forever. Once the universal VA public school mask mandate is lifted, I would not be surprised if Fauquier makes masks optional or at least allows fully vaxxed kids to be mask-free. The county itself has no mask mandate and mask wearing is not prevalent out here compared to the close in DC suburbs.[/quote]
