You get that APS didn’t do this to accommodate the teachers that live in Fairfax right? It’s because they realized they literally couldn’t operate schools with the number of staff that would be out tomorrow. I’m a teacher and parent and was happy to go back tomorrow but my (smallish) school already had 8 people out due to covid and then add the more than few Fairfax residing staff and you’ve got this. It’s not fun but it’s how it is. Retail stores can run on skeleton crews, schools can’t.[/quote]
