NP- where we are in MoCo, we were supposed to get 1-3 inches overnight and barely have a dusting so far.  So seems likely that the totals are likely yo be lower than forecast unless the timing has shifted.  Radar looks heavier to the south though.[/quote]

Not PP, but CWG actually posted this last night: “Important message: When you wake up, there may not be much snow yet but a period of HEAVY snow seems likely between approx 7a-midday, w/ very low visilibity and rapid accumulation. Best bet: Stay home Monday AM.”

Ok, well the forecast I referenced was from the NWS, not some fringe source: 1-3in overnight, 3-5in today.  I guess it's still technically overnight since the sun doesn't rise for another hour.  Historically, it seems that whenever the period of heavy snow contracts, we end up with lower accumulation totals.  I do hope we get enough for the kids to play in![/quote]

For future reference, moron: the Capital Weather Gang is much more reliable for our region that NWS. They are composed of meteorologists, and their explanations, if you bother to read them, are very detailed and and informed with specific knowledge and experience about the microclimate in our region, and how hard it usually is to get good snowstorms around here.
