Virginia really sucks.  They won't let schools just go virtual when needed, but are making you all do this piecemeal class by class quarantine instead?  Yet they insist that you teach in person AND provide meaningful instruction for the quarantined kids?   If schools are open for in person instruction, then that's how teachers are providing instruction.  If kids aren't in class, they just have to miss class.  That's the way it always was in the past when kids were out for the flu or a bad cold, right?   [/quote]

A pandemic with a new variant with an extremely high transmissibility rate which is going to cause large numbers of kids to be quarantined st the same time is not a "flu or a bad cold," so no, "they just have to miss class" isn't going to cut it. Sorry.[/quote]
