I didn’t need a fancy setup (I delivered my second at GW lol) but honestly the two days off from toddler parenting and cooking and cleaning were great.  If you have a good sleeper (and/or there’s a nursery available) by all means enjoy the vacation.  🤪[/quote]

When I gave birth (three weeks ago so pre omicron surging like crazy) they weren’t discouraging it for me and while I was very tired I definitely didn’t need it for medical reasons.  Not sure if that’s changed in the intervening weeks but at least at my delivery they would have taken my child to give me rest if I’d wanted/needed it.  (I ended up with a good sleeper this time so I didn’t ask in the end.)[/quote]

Thanks! Congrats on the newborn! We are first time parents so I think we’ll be pretty overwhelmed and could use the short reprieve with the nursery. Other logistics question, what did you do about parking? Grateful for any other advice you may have too. [/quote]
