It's really important that little girls understand that the vagina is what is INSIDE so that if, god forbid, something happens to them, they are able to express exactly what happened. It's molestation/abuse no matter what, but you want your children to be clear that someone touched their vulva, labia on the outside and their vagina if they were penetrated.
