The labels pursued a formula of hit singles instread of developing album content. Now because of apple, people can buy all singles. Nobody buys a whole album to get one or two hit songs anymore. And artist development is now a total clusterfuck. The downsizing of the labels caused so many artists to get dumped and so many more to be neglected. I worked in antipiracy.
