[/quote] +1 It all was a lie to placate parents of students with disabilities so they would not rush out to file state complaints, OCR complaints, due process, and civil suits. MCPS promised compensatory services then ignored their promise. MCPS took and wasted COVID relief dollars that could hired more support such as special educators, para educators, school psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school counselors. Dr. McKnight prioritized giving administrators 7 days of extra leave versus having staff work to fill the staffing shortages. Ethics means nothing in MCPS and unfortunately, students with disabilities are not given the services and support that they need. [/quote]
