There is indeed a stream of good news out of the private schools and to answer OP’s question, things seem a lot brighter than they did after ED/EA rounds last year. NCS and STA having great results and congratulations to all the seniors at whatever school they are at. It has been a rough few years for that class of kids all over the US. A lot of work was put in by all these kids and I am thrilled that they are getting the outcomes they were hoping for.
Somebody is trying hard to spin this.
+1. This is not what I'm hearing at all from my DC at a Big 3. I would say results are mixed, at best.
Is your kid at NCS or STA? Or a different school? Maybe you both could be correct.
+1. It's unlikely anyone has a remotely complete picture. Not even for their child's own school, where you here positive reports and and best can presume negative reports. And combine that with impressionistic senses - you hear 3 kids got into X and focus on that while ignoring 10 kids didn't get into Y, Z, and W. And then how is one to know about other schools even nearly as completely?
