Or perhaps you are an ill-informed troll who has no idea what it takes to get into W&M these days.  Last fall the students who actually at W&M enrolled had a 75th percentile GPA of a 4.50.  The 50th percentile had a .3 and the bottom 25th percent had a 4.08.  ACT scores were 34/33/31 and SAT for incoming students was 1520/1440/1360.  Those are the scores of the students who actually showed up so the acceptance scores were even higher (many Ivy-bound Virginians use W&M as a safety while hoping for an elite SLAC or Ivy.  UVA is only slightly ahead in most categories at 4.52, 4.39 and 4.23.  A 75th percentile ACT of 35/34/32.  And a SAT of 1510/1460/ and 1400.  Those are some pretty amazing scores.[/quote]

But I could have only quoted it if it were still present on the thread, at that moment, right?  And I think it is pertinent, anyhow, because there are people bashing both W&M and UVA right now while ED decisions are being announced.  This should be a time of great happiness.  Falsely dragging down a school in the same thread is just bad taste.  Also, those reading this whose children have not yet decided where to apply might read the comments and believe them.  So posting the type of stats you need to get into W&M brings the discussion back into something useful for those who aren't yet in the college madness application process.[/quote]
