I think I’m missing some key element — please help me understand this.   If there’s no real shortage, and the goal isn’t actually to “just” get the bag you want.  Is the game to “earn” the bag by embodying a Hermès ideal so they’ll offer it to you, thereby anointing you?  (Zero snark here, I’m just fascinated.)[/quote]
