I doubt being late once is grounds for eviction (though it can get you a court date). But if it's been late multiple times that may be. I'm not familiar with VA laws. As I said before if you run into an unexpected issue and realize you are going to be a few days late with rent communicate with the landlord or management. Often they will work with you, especially if you've been a good tenant. [/quote]
