No favors, can we please just stop the madness. I pitch so much random junk (we even got multiple Halloween goodie bags this year from school, neighborhood party, etc.). My kids just don’t need all this small cheap plastic stuff. 7 year olds are certainly old enough to attend a party without it. If you really want to do something then get a $5 gift card to a local ice cream parlor.
OP. Please not this. Parents may not want the goody bags but kids look forward to it whether it is junk or not. And a $5 gift card does not give the same satisfaction plastic crap gives. I am not being sarcastic.
You may be right, but we are in a bad place if kids need to be rewarded for attending a party.
If you attend a wedding, do you get a return gift or not? If adults expect to be rewarded, I think we can excuse little kids for expecting a party favor. We do this for what, 5 years in ES?
I have to ask - what's a "return gift" for attending a wedding? I think I may have gotten a small favor at weddings occasionally but usually I just give the couple a gift and that's it.
