Democratic Party just doesn’t get it. Suburban parents do not want racial, sexual politics as the focus of their kids. Nor are they interested in white privilege. Nor are parents of girls interested in transgender men competing against their daughters in sports of lobbying for them to join them in the bathroom.
Nope. Most suburban voters still went for McAuliffe. They DON’T want more GOP lies. The rural areas went for Youngkin. Shocker - they don’t want equality.
What does “equality” mean to you in this context?
Middle age suburban mom here. I also voted for Youngkin. I’m tired of equity, equality, race, sex, etc being focused on in schools instead of any academics. If they could do it all then fine. But the current school system does not care at all about academic standards. I don’t care nor am I concerned over CRT. Like this post, what are they even talking about when they throw around words like equality. I also don’t care if Youngkin’s kids go to private school.
