I’m the OP. Betting those on this thread who think the school shouldn’t have published it are not from FCC. Every parent I know is horrified and frankly I wish they’d publish the names of the racists as well. I’d like to know which parents are raising these kids.
Yeah, and they should publish the names of kids getting in fights so everyone can see who’s raising violent kids. And the names of the bathroom vandals so people can see who’s raising criminals. And so on. Do you know how ridiculous you sound? Of course what happened is bad. But it’s not uniquely bad & doesn’t mean the kid is being raised by racists. Kids do mean & stupid things & need to know that’s not acceptable at all. But it doesn’t mean they’re beyond redemption & learning.
People like you are the reason white kids think it's ok to call black kids the N word. You just said a white kid calling a black kid a n****r is not uniquely bad. Do you really think a ripped out soap dispenser has the same impact as a black kid being called the n word? SMH.
Well, a ripped out soap dispenser means all the 1,000 kids at a school have to use like 2 open bathrooms. But no, that’s not as impactful; it’s true. But, say, getting punched in the face is more harmful than being called a name, yes. Regardless of race or reason. Being bullied because you are fat or gay can be just as harmful as being called a racial slur. There are many ways kids can be cruel and harmful. Racism is absolutely not ok. But so are other things.
