At my N Arlington elementary it is $50. Thats roughly $900 for a class since not all participate. 
Teacher appreciation gifts for 1 teacher and 1 assistant
Craft supplies for - Halloween, Winter, & Valentine parties 
Small gifts ($10 gift card) for Art, Music, Gym, Reading and Math specialists, etc. 
Stock the teacher’s supply of cleaning wipes, disposable masks, and extra snacks. 
Any money left over at the end of the year can be used to buy books or other supplies for the classroom or donate books to the library (ask teacher/librarian before purchasing) [/quote]
