They modeled caring for others (and each other). They modeled staying together through hard times. They created a healthy family unit of me and my siblings which included knowing how to effectively argue, come to a solution, and then come back together as a family unit without resentment and grudges. They treated all of us equally. They taught us perspective and coping abilities.
