The point is, why should even one person's desire to see his or her child be denied, so that instead, Beyonce and Jay-Z can have whatever it is they wanted? Why is one family's needs more important than another's, in a public hospital?

I am sure if you were Edgar Ramirez that you would feel differently. I would have probably been arrested had they stopped me from seeing my child in the NICU because I would have lost my mind. Actually, this story makes me a little sad because I really like Beyonce but this behavior is beyond horrible.
Hey, I agree with you two. No one should have been denied access. But I still see this as the hospital's fault. They had clients who paid for an executive suite at their hospital. They needed to be more prepared about how they were going to handle things when they came in to give birth. If I pay for a private suite and I'm in labor, I'm not thinking about what else is going on. I'm headed to my suite and I would trust that the hospital did their job.
If these two "stars" were so concerned about their security, why did they arrange to have the security cameras covered up? The whole thing is so incredibly arrogant and obnoxious. Why would anyone here defend them??? And multiple parents were inconvenienced - several have spoken publicly and presumably there were more than 2 kids in the NICU. The whole thing is so over the top that you have to think Beyonce and Jay Z are either lunatic egomaniac control freaks, or they faked the whole shebang and wanted to cover it up. Or both.
We don't know that the couple had the security cameras covered. It could've been the hospital who did this or overzealous security guards. We also don't know which cameras were covered or for how long. Again, if I'm worth hundreds of millions and there are folks out there who will do whatever it takes to get rich quick off of pictures of me giving birth (especially since there was so much speculation that she wasn't even pregnant), I would want to be protected as well. Again, we're blaming the couple for something that they might not even be aware of.
Who is the nut job going to bat to defend them on here? Ha are you intimate friends with them? They were wrong and selfish. And to the person saying that it is no biggie for parents to not see their child in the NICU for 20 minutes...I dont have kids and pray I never would have to visit mine in the NICU but would NEVER say such horrid things as you have with people need to stop being drama queens? I pray you never have to experience a child in the NICU. What a terrible thing to say.
So, because we have differing opinions, I'm a nut job? How tolerant. Again, I blame the hospital in this. I have had two nephews in the NICU. One for jaundice and one because he was a preemie. We sometimes visited during times when we weren't allowed in for various reasons by the hospital staff. What did we do? We waited until we were allowed in. I can't imagine any hospital barring parents who had children with life-threatening conditions in their NICU. That's another story entirely; and we have no indication that this was the case in the two parents featured in this story. I'm sorry, but I can't automatically make people villains without the full story. Nothing in this screams entitlement. The couple paid for a private wing and used it. End of story.
Yes to even slightly say that it is ok to keep anyone from seeing their child fbc of Beyonce and Jay Z makes you a nut job. End of story.
