#2 - whaaaaat?  He’s not even positive!  You’re not a close contact until he’s positive. 
I work at a state run hospital (in Maryalnd, not VA), and this is not at all how we do it. I am on the Covid Team, and we just had a positive staff member. All close contacts were tested immediately, and will be tested again in another week. They are all still working!
