Lavelle is 26. In the soccer world that is your prime. She is a technical player with a high speed of play who does not have anyone to play with. She is wasted on this team. [/quote]

I'm not positive that there are that many young technical players ready to step in, but here's hoping.

I will say that I've been blown away by Trinity Rodman in the NWSL this season. She's fast, technical, and an amazing play maker in her first year in the NWSL. I see her as a future star. [/quote]

Never said she’s ready NOW.  Simply pointing out that they look at it from a business standpoint as well.  They may choose an older established player because they put eyes to the television.  Younger players have to mitigate that by promoting themselves so the public knows who they are before they are called on to the team.  It definitely helps.[/quote]
