I hope I am wrong, too -- but I am not wrong about social distancing indoors (although it makes less of a difference, the longer anyone spends in a non-ventilated room) and the latest data on the Delta variant is that kids are no longer low risk.  The Delta infects kids at a rate significantly higher than the 1.0 version.  [/quote]

No "research" shows no such unambiguous thing. We. don't. know. yet. The most optimistic study brought up shows at least 2% of infected kids get some long covid symptoms. We know very little about what proportion gets debilitating symptoms, when/if they subside, how level of infection, predisposition, age, variant, treatment of initial infection all impact likelihood, severity, duration of long-covid. 
But, no, there is no consensus of research showing that it's minimal in kids. It is a huge area of concern for experts around the world, particularly in the UK, where they've YOLO'ed kids into schools unmasked and are "celebrating" reopening day today, halfway through a huge spike in cases.[/quote]
