My kid played on a rec basketball team that was mostly baseball players and a couple of travel basketball players. It wan't the main sport for any of them, they were all friends and looking for a way to hang out. When the travel basketball players were there, they were a much stronger team, but when they weren't the baseball players got more playing time. Baseball players are no known for being shy, so they didn't mind stepping up when the basketball players were not there.[/quote]
