When they stop - just start dancing. With the robot and break dance. Pull yourself up by the collar. They’ll quickly continue on their path. They’ll think you’re nuts and the neighborhood bets will be off but you’ll help the planet one less idling car at a time. I will definitely try that on Monday. If someone comes on DCUM and says "I saw the weirdest thing on my commute home. There was this middle aged woman standing on this weird square of concrete they have under a bus stop sign (no idea why it's there), and when I pulled up and started gesturing for her to walk into the straight she started dancing like a robot. Anyone know if she's safe to be around children? Should I call the police?" will you stand up for me?
By the way - concrete square is the perfect platform for breakdancing. Don’t let you being a middle aged white lady interfere. YOLO And unless your profession requires being around children, thinking your unsafe for kids could work to your benefit. They’ll stay away. Not splash near you at the pool. No puppies or pyromaniac kids visiting and burning your stuff at home. Try to be optimistic.
