It's part of America but totally out of compliance with the Constitution for much more time than not. Unfairness and oppression are its defining characteristic. Notions of southern "grace" or "honor" are the kabuki on top of systemic, state-sponsored violent terror. Driving to the beach through that part of the country gives me the heebeejeebees, and I'm white. [/quote]
