There are several reasons why God created other planets and galaxies 1) To display God's handiwork to his creation, beings which he created with the ability to admire beauty and perfection. Such ability did not evolve nor is it the result of chance but of purposeful design. Only a fool observes the majestic universe and concludes, "There ain't no God." The heavens declare the glory of God, the dome of the sky speaks the work of his hands. Every day it utters speech, every night it reveals knowledge. Without speech, without a word, without their voices being heard, ---Complete Jewish bible The stars utter no speech yet their glory is understood. It is self-evident that it was created. 2) For humans to inhabit once the Earth reached the point where it cannot sustain any more people. The Earth can sustain billions of people, perhaps even a trillion or more with technological abilities to build structures higher than the Himalayas and deep into the Earth's crust close to the mantle, The mantle could heat every home on Earth given the right technology to conduct that heat. But the Earth will only hold so many people. The universe has untold numbers of planets able to hold trillions upon trillions of people all giving God praise and glory for his wonderful creation and love towards us for which all of this was created. 3) A place for the righteous to rule After Jesus returns and brings his reward, crowns will be given to the righteous. A crown is a symbol of governing authority. Some of the righteous will rule a kingdom on Earth, some will rule a kingdom on another planet or will have authority to delegate authority to other rulers on other planets as humans expand into the galaxy. Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. --1 Corinthians 2:9
Hilarious! so much for space exploration. I doubt even most religious people believe this antiquated stuff.
