I grew up in NJ. These schools all have the same reputation as above average regional colleges attracting wealthy students from suburban towns while being nothing special. Lehigh unquestionably is in a different league recognition and reputation wise. Bottom line is they are all fine and I absolutely would not pick any of them based on how well they're known. They're not well known and it doesn't matter that they're not.
Are you saying that Lehigh is better than the other 3? If so, that’s the first time I’ve heard that.
Np here, but yes, Lehigh is in a different tier than F&M, Dickinson, and Denison, and more than twice the size as well.
If you are the NJ poster, I am surprised at your response. Ime Lehigh, Lafayette and Bucknell are all thought of similarly in the NJ/NY area (with lots of cross-applications), although yes one can pinpoint differences among the 3 and that is why ultimately some kids prefer one to the others. Now that I live in DC, I have observed that down here people seem to think of Lehigh as a distinct animal.
Having lived in both NYC and DMV, think Lehigh has broken away a bit from the other two with perception that admissions are more selective. DK if they yield admit protect to pump that rep.
