The breakdown with Norwood placements does not seem plausible to me either. But maybe it is. The reality is that Bullis and St. Andrews absorb a lot. These are good schools but not very rigorous academically or as competitive as others. People in Norwood searching for academic rigor often switch their kids before 9th grade so they get ready for high school in a more competitive setting. Norwood is a great school but it is not correct to put it a high academic level. Grades are inflated and parents need to complement a lot to get the bar truly high in terms of preparation. Bullis and St. Andrews cater to the typical Norwood school. It makes total sense. It is a great path.
Sure - I'm just posting lies? I don't know where you are getting your information or your perception - but it's just wrong. Our year there were 4 total at Bullis and St Andrews combined from the entire class. It's simply not true that those two schools absorb the typical Norwood student. The fact is, that Norwood does a great job at reaching all kinds of students, and their variety of schools on the list each year and the fact that the numbers vary from year to year speak to that.
