I had to explain to him that psychological cruelty doesn't justify murder, morally or legally. But he was very sympathetic to her.[/quote] Finally, more and more, a light is being shone on this kind of post-separation abuse/coercive control, as well as the effect of emotional and psychological abuse in a marriage. Murder and violence is NOT the answer, but Dan was a calculating malignant narcissist and his goal was absolutely to destroy Betty. Which he did. [/quote]
