If they'd had to actually work rather than just sit around and reminisce and be feted by others, someone would have had to pony up the big bucks they'd all expect to be paid. Of course they got paid to do this "reunion" special but to act they'd all want serious paychecks that could undercut whatever money a reunion episode would earn, maybe. Though ad time on a special like that would be astronomically expensive to advertisers and lucrative for HBO. I think possibly there's just no creative juice there for a script that would make sense. It's so much easier a money-spinner for everyone involved to do interviews. Kind of sad, really, both re: the actors and the creatives behind the show.[/quote]
