This is a little frustrating to me.  My son was on the red team, but we aren't interested in MLS Next.  We don't like the substiution rules, and the additional travel does not sound appealing.  We also can't do the fourth day of practice without giving up his other sport.  Unfortunately, it seems like his only option is to play with a less competitive team of players (the new red team, which I imagine will be largely the current white team). Can you seriously not imagine a world where a good player does not want to make soccer his whole life at age 12? And imagine the cost to the family in terms of time and everything. What if there are siblings or just don't want to drive hours away each weekend?

Valid point, it takes both the parents and the kid buying into it. Lot of travel and expenses involved. We do it because we want to see how my DS ranks against other top teams players on the east coast.  As Ric Flair said, "to be the best, you have to beat the best!". WOOOOOOOOOOOOO[/quote]
