My kid has moved around. It has been an incredibly positive experience in most respects. Development that never would have occurred if they had settled down.
same with my kids. we had only good experiences and weren't chronic hoppers. older kid was 2 years, 2 years, 3 years and now in final place. it was developmentally necessary in our case. he remained on good terms with coaches and clubs and will often play with them in off-season things--tournaments, futsal, etc. the really positive aspect is that he knows so many players from all of the clubs and different training experiences---when he got to his freshmen year of HS there were kids (Former teammates, or kids he went abroad with to play) from all over the dmv in his class and on the soccer team. it's a small world.
