I took my 12 year old to get his shot at the mass vaccination site at Dulles Town Center yesterday. There were loads of adults without kids there, so plenty of people are still wanting to get vaccinated.[/quote]

True--but at this point shots have been readily available for 2-3 weeks, so people really have no excuse (and maybe some there were getting 2nd doses?).
Remember that we've been told that we need to mask "to protect others".  Any day now, I (vaccinated) am not going to be willing to "protect others" if they haven't even bothered to protect themselves.  And yeah, first shot counts.  Protection ramps up over time and with the 2nd dose, but there's a big load of protection just from the first shot.[/quote]
