Hint: this is how MCPS will get rid of accelerated math.  It's happening in California and Virginia (though I heard the VA BOE backtracked somewhat) all for equity.  It's becoming clearer by the day...if you want your kids to get a equitable education, MCPS is the place for you.  If you want them to get an excellent education, you'll have to go private.[/quote]

Yes, if anybody knows about MS level math please post it (or start a new thread).

This thread discusses a possible new math pathway in MS. I don't know what the final consensus is.

One option MCPS was considering, was to get rid of AIM6 so everybody would be in Algebra 8th grade year. If you wanted to "accelerate" your kid could double up geometry and algebra II in 9th grade.[/quote]
