I have stress incontinence. And it's worse around my period. The PT I was seeing for it suggested wearing a tampon when exercising to see if it helped - and yes, I know that urine comes from a separate location, but apparently it can help "hold everything in." When I do that, after I exercise the tampon is soaked with urine. So...I'm wondering if you do have some kind of leakage issue but it's not apparent otherwise and/or it's brought on by your period. Regardless, I agree with PPs that you should go to the GYN. But just because that's not the same space urine passes through doesn't mean that it couldn't be from leakage. It's just odd you wouldn't have noticed any incontinence otherwise.
New poster. That's probably what's going on with OP. I don't have incontinence but I do have a prolapse and it gets worse with hormonal change during my period. She is probably leaking drops that get absorbed through the string.
