You would hire in a minute if you felt it would increase your profits. Or else you're a really crappy businessman. Businesses aren't hiring because (a) they're squeezing more productivity out of the workers they have and (b) so many people are unemployed/underwater that no one is buying anything. Which is, of course, a vicious self-perpetuating cycle. Name one regulation that -- if it were permanently abolished tomorrow -- would cause you to hire a single full time employee.[/quote]
