Guess they are expecting a lot of new players on the ECNL teams. Rumors are anywhere from 4-12 girls depending on the age group. The biggest impact in the 08’s because COVID and DA to GA to ECNL but other ages will see the same thing. This will push girls down to Red and Red to White, etc. I have a hard time believing any girl trying out for ECNL would take a Red team position. I wonder how many GA girls would take Red or look for a new team?
quit is probably more likely. There are only so many spots on ECNL rosters to go around. Would a girls who misses the cut at Arlington be good enough to take a spot from an already rostered girl at McLean or BRYC?
But if they missed tryouts/ID sessions for other clubs who are going to be making their offers in a couple days they either have to stay or when you say quit, that means, quit soccer altogether?
Yep it’s good business decision on Arlington part. Let’s face it ECNL teams really only look for player from other ECNL teams. So where are this player going to go?
Ah yes - the ECNL teams only recruit players who are already in ECNL troll appears on another thread. The fact that this position is clearly nonsense doesn't stop you, does it?
LOL it’s reality. There is a certain level of athleticism at ECNL teams. After a year or two of conditioning and strength training it is very hard for a non ECNL girl player to break in. Notice I did not say individual skills or speed of play. It is the physical and athletic nature of ECNL(and former DA) teams that separate the girls.
This is 100% TRUE.
Please the is the age when kids narrow to one sport. If you think that the kid playing travl soccer, AAU basketball, and travel lacrosse deciding to focus on soccer isn't as well conditioned as the kid with a year of ECNL under their belt you are off your rocker
No. It's totally impossible. That's why any ECNL kid who gets an injury and is out for more than two weeks always gets cut and has to quit the sport. It's just impossible to recover the previous olympic-athlete-level of conditioning.
I really hope this is sarcasm
