I know that you’re being sarcastic/snarky, but the issue isn’t that there’s anything wrong with having aspirations for a higher office, it’s that the problem is not being competent at one’s current job and being so focused on running for future higher office that one doesn’t actually care about one’s current office. Justin Wilson is so far out of touch with the majority of his current constituents and seems to be prioritizing potential future aspirations — in the form of gaining publicity/making a “name” for himself — over doing his current job well.
