That's fine, I just don't want it to be rabidly politically active blue-only neighborhood.  We had lived in blue cities and come from a very progressive one and I am quite liberal.  I just prefer a place where there are both Biden and Trump signs at election and diversity of opinions, e.g. tolerance towards differences as I do not fall cleanly into either political party any longer.  I would think DC must have political variety in the city itself and certainly in nearby burbs by the nature of what this city is about.  Also we are a mixed race family.[/quote]

Just bear in mind that any metro populated area you move into is likely to change significantly over the time you’re there. Our country is in the midst of massive demographic change and regardless of the minority party’s desperate grasp, in 20-30 years they will be even more if a minority as reflected in the larger population. There is a marked trend toward social liberalism in the electorate. If you want to be safe from that, I suggest you embrace a rural lifestyle.[/quote]
