My friend who was a Jefferson Scholar was admitted to and planning to go to an Ivy and then changed course when offered Jeff Scholar. (It also seems weird for UVA to do it that way if the goal is to compete with admissions to Ivy and other highly ranked schools. What student with those admissions is going to commit to UVA without the enticement of the full ride?)[/quote]
