Tucci is so boring. I was really surprised as I like him as an actor but he just has zero charisma or charm interacting with anyone else on the show. The scenes of Italy are beautiful but as a host he is terrible.
Agree. The scenery is gorgeous and the food looks incredible, but he's so flat and charmless, which is shocking to me.
I totally agree. He has no personality on this tour but the food, scenery and tour of Italy is fantastic. I just wish he wasn’t so dry and boring.
+3. We are enjoying the show because it's as close as we can get to Italy right now, but he's not the greatest host. Same with the show Lorraine Bracco did about buying a house in Italy. I just couldn't relate to her, but loved the house and the story.
Yeah different people keep trying to fill the “food travel” void left by Anthony Bourdain (Tucci, Gordon Ramsay, etc.) but they just can’t. I do still watch the show, because it’s nice in pandemic times to even just watch someone else having a great time eating and drinking their way across Italy, but it’s definitely lacking something. I think his narration is part of it.
