For one, they removed the gat dang analogies and all highly arcane vocabulary from what used to be called the SAT-Verbal when it was actually hard.[/quote] :roll: Removing arcane words and deciding to focus on more meaningful standards doesn't make it easier.[/quote] Removing the arcane words dramatically increases the test’s bias in favor of wealthy kids. The old tests were much fairer. Studies have shown that re-scoring SATs to eliminate easy questions reduces the racial and income gaps in outcomes. New tests are worse in every way. [/quote]
