It’s interesting that only Potomac’s ED came and spoke at the MoCo Council meeting. I guess BSC, MSI, and all the other MoCo clubs are accepting of the mask mandate.
The clubs all play out of the county. we had a home game about an hour away. If you watched her testimony about the loss of hotel rooms, 5000 and soon to be 10,000 that is a lot of lost revenue. Look at the Jeff Cup this past weekend. We had an early Friday game so 3 nights, you have to wonder how many others did a 3 night stay, just the tax revenue from the rooms, add on the food and beverage. Richmond did a great job with it. She shouldn't have made it all about Potomac but about all the clubs
That’s a good point. I just looked up the Potomac website. Why are they just doing a tournament for Boys? It sends a bad message that they don’t care for girl. Talk about inequality.
This has been an issue for many years. They only do boys and don't seem interested in having it for girls too. This is one of the reasons we left the club.
That is not true. They did have a tournament with boys and girls years ago, but they didn't get as many girl teams to show, so they dropped them. They tried for several years to bring girls teams back to the tournament, but with a tournament in Virginia and Columbia the same weekend, they couldn't get enough teams to show.
PSA sponsored a tournament for girls last year out at the beach in DE. Would have been fantastic ... but well 2020 ... hopefully they can get that back in the table in 2022.
