I understand over 1,000 Baltimore PS administrators are getting over $100,000 each per year. Seems astronomical, doesn't it? Especially when you consider it's one of the lowest performing school systems in the country. Maybe their pay should some how reflect their students' progress? So about how many DCPS administrators are collecting over $100,000 per year?
This whole discussion has people opining about the appropriateness of $100,000+ for various DCPS personnel. But OP’s question was about whether or not there is a large number of well-paid administrators. I know there were complaints in the past about headcount “downtown” but that sone positions were cut during the Rhee era. Anyone know whether the current DCPS staffing works as a friends and family staffing program? Ir is the level of administration reasonable for the size of tge system?
