I feel bad for the fact that he was allowed to get to the point. Either he has an atrocious upbringing or he has severe behavioral issues or both and since he is 12, something was not done for him somewhere. He might be old enough to know better -- or not. Twelve is kind of in between and I suspect his background is very troubled.

The question is What can be done? Is he able to be rehabilitated? Maybe. Or is he going to become someone with ongoing criminal issues hurting others with each crime he commits? Gun control is irrelevant here since this is a mindset and he would act out in other ways. I'd like to see a 12 y.o. taken off this path and lead a crime free life and sometimes it's possible but the interventions usually aren't consistently there. [/quote]
