It's intended to penalize schools that attempt to boost application numbers given that yield usually drops when they do that. NYU and WashU's are in the low to mid 2s, and Tufts in the low 3s. To put these numbers in perspective Stanford's draw rate was 18, Dartmouth's 7, and Amherst's 3.1. [/quote]
