The below articles say that the Tufts school of arts and letters has 1600 spots; school of engineering has 1200 spots and school of the museum of fine arts has 300 spots.  If you look at arts and sciences by itself, 24k applications for 1600 spots (15x).  Still impressive, but isn’t Tufts the king of yield protection, which is colloquially referred to as Tufts Syndrome?  U Chicago, Wake Forest, Swarthmore, to name a few in addition to Tulane, all email relentlessly to drum up interest.  And notwithstanding the mailings still seem to be in demand for the right reasons.

You aren't reading the first document you linked correctly!  The total number of enrolled students for the class of 2024 is 1,615. This is then broken down into the individual schools.  Tufts' total undergrad population is a bit shy of 6,000--just google it![/quote]
