Do you store them in the freezer? How do you reheat so that they taste the freshest? Interested!!
Sometimes I buy Lender’s bagels at the grocery store which are in the freezer aisle. They actually reheat really well! I mean, it’s no comparison with a good NY bagel but they do reheat fine from frozen as do many bread products.
You have got to be kidding! Lenders?
Bagels freeze really well. I’m a bagel snob, so I would never eat Lenders, but a bagel frozen fresh is better than a bagel on day 2. We’ve always frozen any bagels we don’t eat right when we get them. We freeze them whole. To defrost, wrap in a paper towel and stick in the microwave for about 40 seconds on half power. They should still be slightly frozen. Take it out and slice it in half, and then either toast or wrap in paper towel and stick back in the microwave for another 15 seconds on half power.
