This is true too. To be fair, northam said kids could be in school in august. And if you have money for tuition, your kids could have been in all year.

But this area is living in a special bubble of fear, wanting masks and distancing and restrictions forever and ever. And then on top of that, FCPS has a weak leader and a school board that cares more about their own personal agenda than the kids. [/quote]

It's a multi- layer problem in VA.

1) Our governor does not like to lead by making firm decisions, he prefers wishy washy leadership over actual leadership.

2) The Virginia Dept of Education, is run by a bunch of incompetent and personal agenda driven people that know their leader will interfere with them.

3) The Fairfax County Superintendent and the School board are run by a bunch of incompentent personal agenda driven people that know that their leader will not interfere with them

Even with problems 1 and 2, if 3 was different we could still run effectively despite top down issues.  But when all three are corrupted= We Lose.

Yes, I agree. While there may always be some level of dysfunction, we can't have all 3 dysfunctional.
