As a concerned Fairfax County <parent/teacher/whatever you want here>, I am writing to ask you to sign SB 1303. In Fairfax County our children are just beginning to return to school 2 days a week after nearly a year of learning remotely. Study after study has shown that in-person learning is vastly superior to distance learning for most students and provides the quality education that our Virginia Constitution guarantees us. The legislature passed this bill with broad bipartisan support and many in both parties in Virginia support five days of in-person learning for school year 2021-2022. Please recognize this bipartisan coalition with your signature on the bill. Please also do not allow any districts waivers from the minimum number of instructional hours next fall.
