Do it if you like the name but know your kid will be one of many. just saying[/quote] I'm usually someone who warns against popular names, but I think it's an exaggeration to think of Abigail (or any other girl's name) as the Jennifer of this generation. At Jennifer's peak in the 1970s, over 17,000 out of every million girls were given the name. Right now, a bit over 3,000 out of every million girls are named Abigail. Even Isabella, the most popular girl's name right now, is given to some 5,000 girls out of every million.
